5、Character: It is a white crystalline powder, has an alkali taste, easy delixing. Relative density 1.57g/cm3, melting point 292℃, soluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, liquid ammonia. Insoluble in ether and acetone. The solution is alkaline to litmus, but not to phenolphthalein. Low toxic. Combustible.
6、Usage: It is used as buffering agent, neutralizer, preservative and color fixative to protect natural colos of animals and plants.
